Soft pastel on Pastelmat. Created in the studio after a recent journey to Cambodia, this work draws on on‑site sketches and photographs to capture the vibrant colours and quiet spirituality of the place. The scene depicts Angkor Wat at sunset, when the grey stone towers glow with unreal hues—from incandescent orange to deep violet—suspended in a fleeting, dreamlike light. The richness of the Pastelmat surface enhances the subtle layers and depth of pigment, conveying the warmth, silence, and emotional power of the moment.
