Oil on canvas. This panoramic landscape was created in the studio from sketches and photographs made during a recent journey to Cambodia. It depicts the approach to the temple of Angkor Wat, captured in an atmosphere that is both monumental and deeply silent.
To convey the grandeur of the site and its immensity, both architectural and spiritual, the artist chose a large panoramic format. The powerful contrast between the temple towers cast in shadow and the radiant light of the sky reflected in the water of the moats creates a strong, almost sacred visual tension. The composition forms a majestic, luminous scene, where travel memories, emotion, and a contemporary gaze come together.
The artist renders the subtle colours, the quiet spirituality of the place, and the depth of its reflections. The sacred architecture unfolds across the still water of the moats — a recurring motif in her work that has become a true visual signature, echoing her ongoing exploration of light and natural mirrors.
