This pastel sketch is part of a series created en plein air, in the heart of the Tarn countryside, South-West of France. In it, the artist continues her familiar practice: capturing fleeting light, observing the subtle shifts of colour as the atmosphere changes, and seizing the moment before it disappears. Her work is grounded in a careful observation of nature, from which she seeks to convey the atmosphere as she experiences it.
